When I was in my junior year of college at NYU, I took a Human Resources Class. In that class, they gave us a test that had hundreds of seemingly inundated questions. They then ranked jobs based on your answers. Real Estate ranked #1 for me. I decided that I would try to do something that I really enjoyed for a career. That was in 1984. I graduated in 1985 and got my Real Estate License.

I worked for 5 years with a local Century 21 office. After about a year, I became one of the top agents at the company. In 1990 at the age of 27, I opened my own company. It was a turbulent time to open a new office, but I believed that I could make a difference to both the agents who worked with me and the community and industry at large. The company I started was a Remax office making me the second owner of that franchise in NYC. That office helped change the way people were compensated as agents. I was popular with the agents for opening and not so popular with the other brokers! While at Remax, I was named Broker of The Year twice, inducted into the Hall of Fame and received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

After 26 years with Remax, I saw the industry changing and decided to buy the Keller Williams Realty Liberty Franchise becoming the Operating Principal and Broker of Record in 2016. Keller Williams has changed the industry and enables agents to have a say in how the businesses are run We have a culture that promotes working together as a team. We have a profit share that has allowed agents and their families to truly change their lives. We are also the #1 company in the industry.
